Re: Colossal U Ad Campaign

After reading the post from the media art's blog. I was insanely shocked by the way the ads were portrayed. If you're going into an university, well applying for one. You should be looking for one that interests you and that catches your eyes with something amazing. But sadly, those ads were nothing. Why would you not accept new ideas and different aspects of people if you're going into university. University is mainly somewhere where you meet different people with amazing, unique ideas. Even with the first ad, "Every colossal u student would turn out the exactly same. We guarantee it."Honestly, i found that there are two ways in seeing this ad; there's negative and kind of a positive. Most likely, everyone understands the negative. But the positive is ... maybe they mean that, if you go to colossal U, everyone will turn out EXACTLY the same as in .. successful. I actually didn't find it negative till i went on the site. They had pictures of sheep and they had "Everyone will be a CLONE". Like honestly, Who wants to be a clone of someone else? Being a human being on Earth is pretty much being unique and different. If everyone in life were the EXACT same; Clones... life would be SO boring.

If they want more students to go to their universities ... why not change your ads? ;)

I like the picture at the top
"i hope it's not a tie"
one guy has a sword..?
and the other guy has a spear and shield, that seems pretty unfair
^^ stupid paragraph i know :)

I think that if everyone was a clone it would be pretty boring, because everyone would be the same without have unique characteristics, or special talents. If everyone was a clone i think that i would want to die, because there isn't really a point living if your only gonna follow what someone else did.

Hahaha, that comic was amusing.

Anyways, I agree, when I first saw those ads, I thought they were trying to portray some type of positive message, but I wasn't really sure. After I found out the real reason for their advertising, I understood what they were trying to make people realize.
