bye everyone' (;

Whoa, i can't believe this year has gone by soooooo fast. Like, it literally passed by with a blink of an eye. Sorry for exaggerating ;D The media arts course was actually a course that was very time consuming. Basically, i kind of struggled alot because, i'm not really good with photoshop, illustrator or film maker. It was definetly a good course to take, because indeed,i did learn alot of things. I enjoy using these techiniques and skills now when i deal with my photos.
For our first project, we did the multiple exposure. Multiply exposure was one of my favourite art pieces, because i most likely enjoyed taking the pictures. For this unit, i took my pictures with Cassy. So instead of six people in my project unit, i have like around 12 ? because we were doubled up. I loved it, because it turned out really good. Not to brag ... haha

For our second project, we did the circus collage. This collage was actually pretty stressing, because i was working on it at home. My computer kept reseting that day,and ugh .. i literally wanted to kill someone. Thankfullly, later,i was smart enough to ACTUALLY save my work , so that just incase it restarted again. But this unit was really fun because i love making collages

For our third project, we made the pattern. I was so proud of my pattern, eventhough vectorizing was the most annoying-est thing ever. I hated vectorizing. It was so time consuming. I made my pattern with a vectorized camera, nail polish bottle and a rose. It turned out to be pink, black and white. i liked it ! :)

For our fourth project, we made the vectorized portraits. This portrait was combined with our third project which was the pattern. We used the pattern to form the character's face. For my inspirational person, i chose Agyness Deyn. For those of you who don't know who she is.. she's a really famous british model who has her own edges to fashion. I love her style, it's very inspirational!

For our fifth and last project , we made the I AM videos. this video was actually pretty time consuming. But after doing it and when watching it over, it's like a memory that you can keep. It's really funny to watch ourselves in a video, because it's pretty embarassing. Honestly, i'm not that good with film maker, so i tried my best in doing the video along with the help of Angel, Cassy and Gelica. I did the back of our CD, and i actually really liked it .

Sorry, i'm not able to post my pictures up ! But thank you to the teachers for guiding us through this amazing yet stressful year ! :)

eccentrik artshow !

The Eccentrik Art show was definitely LOVE. Every year the art department has the most amazing ideas, no matter what it is. I honestly get attached to the art show. I remember going down EVERY SINGLE DAY just to walk around, even though i've walked through it many different times. What i liked most about the artshow this year was mainly the photography, the films and obviously the "I am videos". I'm actually a big fan of photography, so i was amazed at how good the pictures were. I loved all the panormas that were installed in the media section infront of the "I AM VIDEOS". It really caught the mood of what photography really is. As we continue on the list, i think i spent like mostly ALL my time in the "I AM VIDEOS". I probably even memorized each and every video. I liked it alot. It was like a mini theatre. It would've been better if we had chairs and seats though. :)
The films were also amazing too! I watched the graffiti documentary, little big dinosaur, facebook stalker, developper.stop.death and i think more ! Other than that, i cannot wait till the artshow next year. I'm sure that the art department will think of something even more creative and even mooore interesting! Can't wait 2010! :)

ps, goodbye big, crazy, red-headed David ! ;D

tech·nol·o·gy.

Well just to start it off, i'm happy. i'm actually insanely super thankful that we're living in the 20th century, and there's amazing technology. After watching that short video, i was amazed at how much technology's skills increases within the years. From the old telephones that you had to stand beside to cellphones that you carry around day and night. In my opinoin, i find that many of us don't understand that we should be thankful, because we never understood how it used to be long time ago when our grandparents were born. Like, i'm totally sure that they had to take forever to do something rather than us going onto the computer to search for something and finding it like BAM. If i were to live back in the old days, i'd probably commit suicide if i knew about how amazing technology is now. Like take for example, when Louis Ck was talking about laggy phones, I'm sure everyone alive right now can say that they've complained about that before; even i have .. who hasn't? These are things that we take granted for. Imagine how it used to be back then, and look they even survived without video games, cellphones, laptop .. AIRPLANES. So in my opinion, with or without technology, we can all live happily. People may complain, but come on .. REALITY CHECK, thankyou.
Imagine how lucky we are now to have long distance calling and airplanes. We can travel around the whole world in a couple of hours. Other than taking your whole life to get to somewhere. Eventhough technology has so many things to offer, yet everyone still complains. If it were possible, they should soon make a teleporter for everyone to go back into the past and experience how technology used to be like. We'd probably be crying to leave. So we should really consider how our grandparents lived; all they depended on was mostly somewhere to live, food, work, etc. I don't think technology was something they really cared about before. But nowadays, look at us. We have technology infront of us 24/7 and yet we're still not happy. We should learn to respect that fact that we already have something amazing, and useful.

ring ring ring, banana phone !

Anyways, so after i read the blog in media art's, i found that this article was pretty amazing. Like, it's so true. I hate it when you're in a full important conversation with someone and their phone starts ringing, and they just pick up. Sometimes it's fine, especially if the person apologizes, but it's still rude. Like, Heeeellloo, i'm in front of you right now, i think you should give me all the attention. In my opinion, talking in person is better. But, i must say ...cellphones are amazing :)

Everyone was born is to learn manners; well technically, you tend to learn it from the actions of our parents and the people surrounding us. It's a pretty cool thing, of how when we were little, we would always just follow everyone/everything of our surrounding. It's like the magic of life, haha. So I have a cellphone myself too, but i tend to try not to use it alot. My parents hate it when i talk on the phone, or text nonstop. Like, even typing this right now, makes me sound like a hypocrite, because i tend to text during dinners too, and that's completely rude. I'm starting to stop, so be proud! I'm sure alot of you out there have the exact same problem. You get a wonderful text from someone, and you never want to leave them hanging. But at the same time, you're in this really important conversation with someone or, you're having a family dinner. I guess sometimes we should just let that go, but it's still rude. So in my opinion, I think everyone should look around their surroundings and think before they text or talk to someone that may cause an interuption.

So here are my FIVE manners for cellular phones ! ;)
1. When you're having a dinner with your family or friends, don't just take out your phone and call someone or text someone. Like, it's polite to say, "Oh, sorry i have to take this." or just "Excuse me.." It's totally impolite to just count someone off during their conversation. Ps, you're supposed to be spending time with the people you're with.
2. Keep your phone of slient or vibrate especially when you're in a quiet area like for example .. a librar
y, at school, at Church, movies..etc. No one wants to her your obnoxious, annoying ringtone.
3. Use your indoor voices when you're talking on the phone, because i'm sure the person you're talking to can hear you perfectly..without you killing their eardrums. Other than that.. people surrounding you probably DONT want to hear your conversation anyways.
4. Oh, you know what i hate the most ? When people listen to their music on their phones without EARPHONES. oh please, like no one wants to hear your music. Keep it to yourself !

5. And moooooooost importantly *drum roll, please!* , don't text or talk on the phone while you're driving ! It can distract you very easily, which will end up in serious big business ..aka a car accident. And I'm sure you don't want that !

i'm finito with my manners, now it's your turn ! ;)
