ring ring ring, banana phone !

Anyways, so after i read the blog in media art's, i found that this article was pretty amazing. Like, it's so true. I hate it when you're in a full important conversation with someone and their phone starts ringing, and they just pick up. Sometimes it's fine, especially if the person apologizes, but it's still rude. Like, Heeeellloo, i'm in front of you right now, i think you should give me all the attention. In my opinion, talking in person is better.But, i must say ...cellphones are amazing :)

Everyone was born is to learn manners; well technically, you tend to learn it from the actions of our parents and the people surrounding us. It's a pretty cool thing, of how when we were little, we would always just follow everyone/everything of our surrounding. It's like the magic of life, haha. So I have a cellphone myself too, but i tend to try not to use it alot. My parents hate it when i talk on the phone, or text nonstop. Like, even typing this right now, makes me sound like a hypocrite, because i tend to text during dinners too, and that's completely rude. I'm starting to stop, so be proud! I'm sure alot of you out there have the exact same problem. You get a wonderful text from someone, and you never want to leave them hanging. But at the same time, you're in this really important conversation with someone or, you're having a family dinner. I guess sometimes we should just let that go, but it's still rude. So in my opinion, I think everyone should look around their surroundings and think before they text or talk to someone that may cause an interuption.

So here are my FIVE manners for cellular phones ! ;)
1. When you're having a dinner with your family or friends, don't just take out your phone and call someone or text someone. Like, it's polite to say, "Oh, sorry i have to take this." or just "Excuse me.." It's totally impolite to just count someone off during their conversation. Ps, you're supposed to be spending time with the people you're with.
2. Keep your phone of slient or vibrate especially when you're in a quiet area like for example .. a librar
y, at school, at Church, movies..etc. No one wants to her your obnoxious, annoying ringtone.
3. Use your indoor voices when you're talking on the phone, because i'm sure the person you're talking to can hear you perfectly..without you killing their eardrums. Other than that.. people surrounding you probably DONT want to hear your conversation anyways.
4. Oh, you know what i hate the most ? When people listen to their music on their phones without EARPHONES. oh please, like no one wants to hear your music. Keep it to yourself !

5. And moooooooost importantly *drum roll, please!* , don't text or talk on the phone while you're driving ! It can distract you very easily, which will end up in serious big business ..aka a car accident. And I'm sure you don't want that !

i'm finito with my manners, now it's your turn ! ;)

diana, you brought up some really interesting topics. i mean, when on the phone you should totally consider the people around you. believe me, you'll make fewer enemies!

Haha, I agree! :) I hate not being able to reply to texts, which sucks because my texts never used to be free, so I would just go and waste my parents' money. D;

.. By the way, isn't it illegal to use your phone when you're driving now? I think you get a ticket or something, which is really a good thing because it'll probably stop a lot of accidents from happening. :) It's probably inconvenient for a lot of drivers, but when you really think about it, what's more convenient? Hitting someone with your car and paying a bazillion dollars, or safely driving and not spending one bit? I'll go for the first one. ;D
